Gochujang Honey Glazed Tofu
Crispy tofu with a Korean-inspired gochujang-honey glaze, garlic, onion, and citrus. A quick, crowd-pleasing weeknight dinner that's sweet, spicy, and tangy.

Ingredients
- 450g (1 lb) firm tofu, pressed and cut into 2 cm (3/4 in) cubes
- 30ml (2 tbsp) olive oil, divided (for frying or roasting)
- 9g (3 cloves) garlic, minced
- 100g (1 medium) onion, thinly sliced

Method
- 1Press the tofu for at least 10 minutes to remove excess moisture: wrap tofu in paper towels or a clean kitchen towel and place a weighted plate on top.
- 2Preheat oven to 200 C (400 F) if roasting, or heat a large nonstick or stainless skillet over medium to medium-high heat for pan-frying.
- 3While tofu presses, prepare vegetables: chop 400 g assorted vegetables and thinly slice 100 g onion; mince 9 g garlic and chop 15 g fresh herbs. Juice 30 ml citrus.
- 4Make the glaze: in a small bowl whisk together 45 ml gochujang, 45 ml honey, 15 ml soy sauce, 30 ml citrus juice and 30 ml water until smooth; season with 2 g (1/2 tsp) of the salt and a pinch of black pepper, adjust to taste.
